Tomburg Winds III, DE - CISM competition

The Tomburg Winds III from Germany will take part at the CISM & Mid Europe Youth Wind Orchestra Competition 2010!

- approx. 70 musicians and female musicians (average age approx. 16 years – 7 adults)
- founded in 1998 as a common youth orchestra in cooperation with a local music association – from 2000 under the name „Tomburg Winds“ as a sinfonic wind orchestra of the music school (at present as preliminary stages: Child orchestra: 25 members; youth orchestra 30 Members)
- since beginning regular appearances in events of the music school, co-operation in regional music parties and urban events
- since 2001 annual participation in the regional competition of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis „Musizierende Jugend im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis“ with 1. and 2nd prices
- April spring, 2004 concert trip to the French partner town of Rheinbachs – Ville Neuve lés Avignon
- June, 2004 participation in the 5th Landesmusikfest NRW – Olpe
- May, 2008 Landesmusikfest Baden-Württhemberg, Schwäbisch Hall
- May, 2009 Landesmuikfest Rheinland-Pfalz, Neustadt a.d. Weinstr.

Adi Becker - conductor

Adi Becker studied jazz and popular music at the college for music in Cologne, among other things with Prof. Jiggs Whigham.
He is a firm member and Posaunist of the Big Band of the armed forces since 1998 and, in addition, works as a soloist, studio musician, arranger, composer and tape
leader / conductor. Under his management play / played Aachen Big Band, the Grand Central Orchestra Cologne, the jazz orchestra Rheinland-Pfalz,  the Big Band Convention Cologne as well as international top soloists like Bob Mintzer, Barbara Dennerlein, Jiggs Whigham or Bobby Shew. The musical management of musicals belongs also to his experience like the management of numerous studio productions, among the rest, with the Big Band of the armed forces, for the Adi Becker quite numerous successful titles has orchestrated.

Among the rest, he himself played with Albert Mangelsdorff, Michael Brecker, Buddy de Franco, Dave Liebman, as well as artists from the light music like Stefan Raab, Heino, Bill Ramsey, Pepe Lienhard, Neuser, Brings, Captain Jack, Bläck Fööss among other things
His concert travelling led him in countless countries and different continents.

Since 2006 he is an artistic leader of the sinfonischen wind orchestra Tomburg Winds.
